Please help, African art doll

Hello there. I am new to this type of collectable, but really love African Art
I have recently aquired a doll/figure, which I am anxcious to know more info.
The person I bought it from didn't know anything about it, so I thought I'd turn to the experts.
It is a hardwood carved doll dressed in long flowing clothes decorated in Bells, shells and beads.
The figure is sat down with his arms folded and has what look like bongos in front of him? Although
there are a number of sticks at the bottom of the bongos? so may be something else?
On the shoulders are what look like either a second pair of arms, or a pair of horns?
Also there is a hole in the mouth which looks like at one time there was somethin in there.
The doll stands at about 8" tall.
If anyone has any idea of the original purpose of this type of figure, and if possible it's worth,
I would be very appreciative.
All there is to add is thatI don't know what made me purchase this, but something told me to?
and I really liked the look of it.
Thank you so much for your time and effort.
Steve

The carving is pretty rough.
Also the decoration is simple, and seems never been used.
Actually it looks like a simple souvenir (which have been produced for decades),
and doesnt´make a very exclusive and valuable impression.
People simply bring it back from a tourist journey ...
